OUr Mission

​The mission of the Yakima Valley Hop Heads Brew Club  shall be to encourage all members:
​

To promote awareness and appreciation of the quality and variety of home brewed fermented beverages (beer, mead, cider, etc.) through education, research, and the collection and dissemination of information

To develop as both brewers and lovers of beer by providing quality feedback through discussion of different brewing strategies/practices and taste testing

​To gather and socialize with fellow lovers of brewing and beer while encouraging personal responsibility when consuming alcohol containing beverages.

Club Goals

Engaging in social activities focused on home brewing and/or craft beer as a common foundation.

Learning more about beer, components of beer, styles of beer, beer evaluation, and brewing techniques.

Promoting the hobby and enjoyment of home brewing.

Encouraging the responsible use and enjoyment of alcoholic beverages

​Collaborate with local brewing industry partners to advance state of home brewing

 Membership Criteria

Any person who is of legal drinking age in the state of Washington
Enjoys fine beers, either by making their own or by enjoying the work of others.

Individuals who share mutual respect for all levels of home brewer experience – beginner or advanced, with no exceptions.

Who has a positive attitude towards the art of brewing and the club as a whole

​Club membership shall not be denied to any individual on the basis of race, creed, color, national origin, or sex.
​
    Participation in this club is entirely voluntary. Members know that participation in club activities may involve the consumption of an alcoholic beverage and this may affect their perception and reactions. Members accept responsibilities for their conduct, behavior, and actions. Participation may include guests that may be present at club activities, wherever they may be held
